MatrixAir Filter Kit for MaxMount2000 Smoke Eater - FK-M20

Having an outstanding filtration kit is an excellent investment for any air purification system. This MatrixAir filter kit is compatible with the MaxMount2000 Commercial Smoke Eater. It is known to remove various air pollutants with its three filtration stages, including 12 pre-filters, 6 carbon pads, and a 12-inch HEPA filter.

Polyester Pre-Filter

The polyester pre-filter is MaxMount2000’s initial barrier. It can efficiently improve air quality by removing lint, hair, pollen, dust, and other large airborne particles. We advise changing the pre-filter every 3 to 4 weeks.

Activated Carbon Filter

In this phase, the activated carbon fibers absorb harmful gases, odors, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) efficiently. As MatrixAir’s chemical stage, it can impressively eliminate dangerous compounds toxic to the respiratory system. Changing this filter every 2 months is essential.

HEPA Filter

As the most crucial stage in the air purification system, the HEPA filter removes micro-particles. It is effective against ashes, smoke, dust mites, spores, mold, viruses, and particles as small as 0.3 microns. We recommend replacing the HEPA filter at least every 12 months.

Maintenance Tips
  • Regular Filter Replacement: Replace the filters as recommended by the manufacturer, typically every 6-12 months or when they appear heavily clogged. Properly maintaining your filters ensures maximum smoke and particulate filtration.
  • Inspect Filters Regularly: Check filters monthly for visible signs of dirt, dust, or smoke buildup. If filters are heavily soiled or appear discolored, it may be time to replace them sooner.
  • Clean Pre-Filters (If Applicable): If your smoke eater has a pre-filter, remove it regularly and clean it by vacuuming or washing it (if washable) to extend the life of the main filter.
  • Maintain Optimal Airflow: Ensure that the intake and exhaust vents are free from obstructions or dust buildup to keep the airflow unrestricted. Reduced airflow may indicate a need for filter replacement or cleaning.
  • Monitor Smoke and Air Quality: If the unit starts to produce odors, or if you notice a reduction in smoke filtration or air quality, it may be time to replace or clean the filters.
  • Install Filters Correctly: Ensure filters are installed in the correct orientation as per the manufacturer's instructions to maintain efficient air filtration.
  • Replace Filters in Pairs (If Applicable): For models with multiple filters, it’s best to replace both filters at the same time to ensure balanced performance.
  • Proper Storage: If storing filters, keep them in a dry and clean environment to prevent damage or contamination before use.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the smoke eater regularly to prevent dust accumulation and ensure optimal function.
  • Follow Manufacturer Guidelines: Always refer to the manufacturer's manual for the recommended maintenance schedule and instructions for filter replacement and care.
