Maintenance Tips
  • Clean the Condenser Coils: Clean the condenser coils every 1-2 months to remove dust and dirt. This helps prevent overheating and ensures the refrigerator operates efficiently, maintaining proper cooling.
  • Inspect Door Seals: Check the door gaskets regularly for cracks, tears, or signs of wear. Replace any damaged seals to maintain a tight seal and improve energy efficiency.
  • Monitor Temperature Settings: Keep the prep station at the ideal temperature (34°F to 40°F) for food safety and freshness.
  • Defrost as Needed: If frost accumulates inside, manually defrost the unit to maintain proper airflow and cooling. Excessive ice buildup can reduce cooling efficiency.
  • Clean the Interior: Regularly clean the interior surfaces, including shelves and the prep area, using mild soap and water. This prevents contamination and maintains hygiene.
  • Ensure Proper Airflow: Avoid overcrowding the storage areas and ensure air vents are clear of obstructions. Proper airflow is crucial for consistent cooling.
  • Clean the Drain Line: Inspect and clean the drain line periodically to prevent clogs and ensure proper moisture drainage during defrosting.
  • Check the Evaporator Fan: Ensure the evaporator fan is functioning correctly to circulate cold air throughout the unit and maintain even temperatures.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the stainless steel exterior with a damp cloth to remove dust, fingerprints, and stains, preserving the clean appearance and preventing rust or corrosion.
  • Proper Placement: Install the prep station in a well-ventilated, cool area, away from heat sources, and ensure adequate space around the unit for airflow to maximize cooling efficiency.
