The Tuttnauer LABSCI 9 Electronic Benchtop Autoclave is designed for wrapped/unwrapped glass or tool items ONLY. This autoclave is not suitable for liquids. Includes trays and a built-in printer.

The Tuttnauer LABSCI 9 Electronic Benchtop Autoclave comes with pre-loaded cycles already programmed in for unwrapped instruments, wrapped/packs, glassware, and a drying cycle. The device has a standby heating feature that keeps the chamber warm for quick-start cycles, and allows for closed door drying as well. Users can select temperature manually, between 105° - 137° C (221° - 279° F), and sterilization cycles that last up to 99 minutes.

The unit is also equipped with alarms: a pressure and temperature sensor, and a Low Water Alarm that sounds with the water reservoir is reaching low levels. With the included printer, users can print summaries of each cycle. The print-outs contain temperature readings, sterilization and drying time, cycle number, date and time, and any errors detected during the cycle.

Maintenance Tips
  • Regular Cleaning: Clean the chamber and trays after each use using a soft cloth and mild detergent. Ensure all residue is removed to prevent contamination in future cycles.
  • Check the Door Seal: Inspect the door seal for wear, cracks, or tears regularly. Replace the seal if damaged to ensure a proper seal during sterilization and to prevent leaks.
  • Descale Periodically: If you use hard water, perform a descaling procedure as needed to remove mineral deposits that can affect the autoclave’s performance. Follow manufacturer guidelines for descaling.
  • Monitor Water Reservoir: Always check the water level before each cycle and refill as necessary. Empty and clean the reservoir periodically to avoid bacterial growth or mineral buildup.
  • Inspect for Leaks: Regularly check the door, vents, and seals for any signs of leaks. Address any leaks immediately to avoid performance issues.
  • Lubricate Moving Parts: Apply a non-oily lubricant to moving parts like valves or door mechanisms to ensure smooth operation.
  • Run Test Cycles: Perform routine test cycles, such as sterilization and vacuum tests, to confirm the autoclave is reaching the correct temperature and pressure.
