Maintenance Tips
  • Wipe Exterior Weekly: Clean the stainless‑steel surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent or warm, soapy water to remove grease and fingerprints; avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, and steel wool to protect the finish.

  • Clean Internal Grease Zones: If your hood uses Vent‑A‑Hood’s Magic Lung® blower system, grease is captured inside the blower housing and E‑Z Clean™ tray — remove and wash the tray and wipe internal grease‑collection areas regularly to maintain strong airflow.

  • Inspect Ductwork: Periodically check that duct and vent openings are clear of obstructions so the blower (typically 600 CFM) can ventilate effectively.

  • Check Lights & Hardware: Wipe light covers, replace bulbs when needed, and tighten loose screws to ensure good illumination and secure installation.

  • Run Fan After Cooking: Let the fan run a few minutes after use to clear lingering smoke, steam, and odors — this helps reduce long‑term buildup.
