Yamaha DBR12 12" 2-Way Powered Speaker - DBR12

The Yamaha DBR12 is a 2-way, bi-amped powered loudspeaker with a newly designed, durable, lightweight cabinet optimized for FOH (front of house) sound, floor-monitoring, and even rigged applications like those seen in large concerts. With 1000 watts of output, it gives you the power to play!

The high-performance Class-D amplifier in the DBR12 can produce up to 1000 watts of power, achieving an SPL of 131dB, delivered with remarkable clarity and dynamics. The high power output woofers deliver well-defined, powerful bass with minimal distortion, and the 1.4" precision compression driver produces accurate mid-range and high frequencies.

The Yamaha DBR12 powered speaker features an optimized 50°wedge angle for floor monitoring, and the symmetrical shape allows for effortless configuration of a mirror-mode floor monitoring system in either symmetrical or stereo sound field setups.

Other important features of the DBR12 include 1000 watts output power; two input channels with versatile input connectors, including RCA pin jacks for CD players or other stereo line-level sources; onboard mixer for selecting either CH1+2 MIX to mix the signal of CH1 and CH2, or CH1 THRU to pass the signal from CH1 only; M8 rigging threads, for rigged applications with optional speaker brackets or standardized eye-bolts (speaker brackets and eye-bolts are not included).

The Yamaha DBR-powered speakers have the same state-of-the-art Yamaha DSP, amplifier, and speaker technologies as the more expensive DSR and DXR Series. They deliver powerful, high-quality sound with an unmatched economy and setup time.

Maintenance Tips
  • Keep It Clean: Regularly dust the speaker with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
  • Protect the Speaker from Moisture: Keep the speaker away from moisture and humidity. If it gets wet, immediately dry it off with a soft cloth to avoid internal damage.
  • Store Properly: When not in use, store the speaker in a cool, dry area. If you need to transport it, use a padded cover or speaker bag to protect it from impacts and scratches.
  • Avoid Overloading: Don't push the speaker beyond its power rating. Excessive volume or distortion can damage the internal components over time.
  • Check the Cables and Connections: Inspect your speaker cables and connections regularly to ensure they’re secure and free from fraying. Replace any damaged cables immediately to prevent signal issues.
  • Handle with Care: Always lift and move the speaker carefully. Avoid dropping or knocking it, as physical impact can cause internal damage or affect the sound quality.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the speaker has adequate airflow to avoid overheating. Never block the vents or place the speaker in an area where heat can build up.
  • Keep the Amplifier Cool: If your speaker has a built-in amplifier, make sure it has proper ventilation to prevent overheating. Avoid placing the speaker in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
  • Regularly Check for Dust and Debris in Ports: Inspect the speaker's input/output ports for any dirt, dust, or debris that could affect the sound quality or connections.
  • Periodic Professional Checkups: If you notice any issues with the sound quality or performance, consider taking the speaker to a professional technician for servicing or calibration.
