Insulation testing allows for detecting the resistance of high voltages in the electrical components of Electric Vehicles. By performing the insulation test, this ensures that electrical components of the EV are in optimal condition within the specified parameters enabling a safe driving experience and operation of the EV. Insulation Resistance testing is when the DC high voltage is transformed from the E pole to the L pole, in which current is generated between the E pole and L pole. The insulation resistance is then displayed on the screen through IN conversion and calculation. The insulation resistance refers to the leakage current of the insulation material between the live part and the exposed non-live metal part (shell).In comparison to different products, the varying values of DC high voltages will be applied, such as 500V,1000V,2500V etc. and a minimum safe insulation resistance value will be set. If the measured resistance value is lower than the safe resistance value, there may be a risk of electric shock.
