The IC693PWR330 is a High-capacity power supply module that is part of the Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) product family. Compared to standard power supplies, the IC693PWR330 high-capacity power supply module is permits consumption of all the 30 Watts load capacity to the +5VDC output. This allows the power supply to be used in application where the +5VDC requires higher current capacity, typically, in larger 90-30 PLC rack. This power supply can only be installed in the left most slot of the rack. It is mainly used to provide backplane power, to enable modules that are attached to the backplane.
The IC693PWR330 has Three (3) outputs. Theses outputs are +5 VDC output, +24 VDC Relay power output that supplies power to the electronic circuitry on Series 90-30 Output Relay and Isolated +24 VDC, internally used by some 90-30 modules, which may also be used to provide external power for 24 VDC Input cards. This power supply has 30 Watts load capacity. This load capacity are the total combined load of all outputs. Individually, individual maximum outputs 30 Watts for +5VDC, 20 Watts for +24VDC and 15 Watts for +24VDC Relay output.
This high-capacity power supply has LED status indicators used to indicate a variety of status. This LED indicators include PWR LED to monitor if the module receives sufficient external supply; OK LED to depict the overall operation status of the module; RUN LED and BATT LED to indicate the battery charge.
The IC693PWR330 has an embedded RS485 communication port. This port is used to connect the power supply to a desktop or laptop workstation, GE Fanuc Hand-Held programmer and other compatible serial devices.
The IC693PWR330 module has a minimum holdup time of 20 milliseconds. The power supply unit comes with industrial protective features. It has overvoltage and overcurrent protective limits for 5 Volts DC output which are 6.4 to 7 Volts and 7 Amps, respectively. This AC/DC power supply unit has 6 terminals for user connections. It supports AC and DC power source connections.
For AC power source connections, the hot, neutral, and ground wires from the 120 Volts AC source which are also known as the L1, L2, and ground wires from the 240 Volts AC source are connected to the system by using the top 3 terminals that are situated on the front face of the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 IC693PWR330 power supply module. Similarly, for DC power. the +ve and -ve wires from the 125 Volts DC rated power source to the top 2 terminals on the connectors are used. These connections are polarity sensitive to the power supply. The IC693PWR330 module is equipped with a RS 485 communication port for serial communication.
