Clean the Concrete Surface: Regularly wipe down the concrete with a damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, and stains. Use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner for tougher stains, avoiding harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
Maintain the Fire Bowl: Inspect the fire bowl for any signs of wear or cracks in the concrete. If you notice any cracks, contact a professional for repairs to prevent further damage.
Electronic Ignition System Care: Keep the ignition system dry and free from dirt or debris. Periodically check the ignition components to ensure proper function, and replace batteries or parts if needed to maintain reliable ignition.
Clean the Gas Burner: Regularly check the gas burner for any debris or buildup. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove any particles that may obstruct the flame.
Inspect Gas Connections: Regularly inspect the gas hoses, connections, and regulator for signs of wear, leaks, or damage. If you smell gas or notice a leak, turn off the gas supply and contact a professional immediately.
Protect from the Elements: When not in use, cover the fire bowl with a weather-resistant cover to protect it from rain, snow, and UV exposure. This will help preserve both the concrete finish and the functionality of the ignition system.
Fire Media Care: If the fire bowl uses decorative fire media (such as lava rocks or glass beads), clean them periodically to remove soot buildup. Replace any damaged or degraded media as needed.
Seasonal Maintenance: Before long periods of inactivity, turn off the gas and cover the unit to prevent exposure to extreme weather, moisture, or freezing temperatures.
Water Drainage: Ensure proper drainage in the fire bowl to prevent water from collecting, which could affect the gas burner or ignition system. Drain any accumulated water after rain or cleaning.
Use Non-Abrasive Cleaning Tools: Always use soft cloths and non-abrasive cleaning tools to prevent scratches or damage to the concrete surface.
