Maintenance Tips
-
Pre-Operation Inspection: Check for fuel leaks, loose connections, and worn components before each use. Ensure air intakes and exhaust outlets are free from obstructions.
-
Use Clean, High-Quality Fuel: Always use fresh, high-grade diesel. Regularly drain water and contaminants from the fuel tank and filter to prevent clogging and engine issues.
-
Monitor and Change Engine Oil: Check oil levels frequently and follow manufacturer-recommended oil change intervals. Use the correct oil type for optimal engine performance.
-
Inspect and Clean Air Filters: Ensure proper airflow by cleaning or replacing air filters regularly. A clogged filter can reduce efficiency and cause overheating.
-
Check Coolant Levels: Monitor coolant levels to prevent overheating. Use the recommended coolant mix and inspect hoses for leaks or damage.
-
Inspect the Exhaust System: Keep the exhaust system free from blockages and ensure all vents and ducting are clear to allow proper heat distribution.
-
Test Safety Systems: Verify the operation of flame sensors, emergency shutoff mechanisms, and temperature controls to ensure safe and reliable operation.
-
Secure Electrical Connections: Regularly inspect and tighten all electrical connections to prevent malfunctions, especially after transport or prolonged storage.
-
Keep Heater Components Clean: Remove dust, soot, and debris from internal parts to maintain efficiency and prolong the heater’s lifespan.
-
Proper Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated area when not in use. For long-term storage, drain fuel and protect key components from moisture and corrosion.
